Join the effort to revitalize the YARD

If you're passionate about doing work to revitalize the YARD and create new jobs, development, and other economic opportunities in the area, the City wants to hear from you. We're now accepting applications from people interested in joining the Northeast Public Development Authority (NEPDA) Board.

The NEPDA's area of focus, known as “the YARD”, is the 800 acres of underutilized industrial and residential property east of Market Street and north of Garland Avenue. By joining the seven-member, all-volunteer board, you can help provide leadership and project management to move development forward. This is a hands-on working board and searches out board members with business expertise and skill sets needed to implement the YARD's current work plan, development and funding strategy.

For the past three years, the board consisted of five members, but is expanding to seven. Three positions are currently open, including one of the original board positions.

In addition to completing the City's boards and commissions application, applicants must also include a cover letter. For more information on the board openings and how to apply, visit the Boards & Commissions page.
