City Pools are Going to the Dogs

Bring your furry friend to Spokane's City pools for the 5th annual “Doggie Dip”.

The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation teams up with SpokAnimal to give the last swim of the season to the dogs. For just $10 pet owners can register for the ultimate pooch playdate, while raising funds and awareness for the Highbridge Dog Park.

“We keep the dogs out all summer and they finally get a chance to enjoy the city pools, swim with other dogs and have a great time,” said said Assistant Director of Recreation, Carl Strong. “It is really a site to see so many dogs wagging their tails, jumping in after toys, and splashing around like a bunch of kids.”

Join us for an afternoon of games, fun, and prizes!

Dog swim dates and locations are:

  • August 30: 3-5 p.m. Comstock
  • August 31: 5-7 p.m. Shadle
  • September: 5-7 p.m. Hillyard
  • September 2: 5-7 p.m. Cannon
  • September 3: 5-7 p.m. Liberty

Before diving into the fun, owners must present proof of vaccination, give fido a quick rinse, and make sure they are well mannered and over the age of 6 months.

Sign up online or at the door to capitalize on the final dog days of summer!
