37th Avenue Rehabilitation

Updated: 09-11-2015 at 12:03 p.m.

The City of Spokane is currently in the concept phase for the rehabilitation of 37th Avenue. We want to hear from you about what you think should be included in the project.

At an open house this week, citizens got a chance to see the proposed plans for 37th Avenue between Regal and Custer Street and 1,500 feet of Freya Street south of 37th Avenue. The project will be combined with Hazel's Creek downstream stormwater improvements. The work will greatly improve safety in an area where three schools are adjacent to the roadway.

Here's a look at highlights of the combined projects:

  • Install key water main
  • Replace old water main
  • Replace failing stormwater system
  • Improve stormwater treatment
  • Complete sidewalk network along school corridor
  • Complete a gap in the bicycle network
  • Pavement replacement

For a more in-depth look, check out the 37th Ave. & Hazel's Creek Stormwater Improvements presentation or visit the project page.
