Save some space for the taxis!

Even if you’re not looking for a taxi, someone else might be! The City is reminding drivers not to park in a taxi zone, so cab drivers can do their thing.

Through June 5th, Parking Enforcement will be issuing courtesy reminders instead of citations to elevate awareness and give drivers time to adjust to the hefty fine.  Beginning June 6th, parking in a taxicab stand will result in a fine of $250, which was increased by the City Council in 2015 amid rising concerns from local taxi companies about non-taxi vehicles taking up spaces marked for cabs.

Have a question about this or other parking-related issues? Feel free to call our Parking Hotline at 509.232.8836
