New 20 mph When Flashing School Zone

A 20 mph when flashing school zone has been installed near Lewis and Clark High School on Stevens Street. Starting Tuesday, November 1 the lights will go live. This is the first high school to have a 20 mph when flashing school zone and will act as the test school for potential use at other high schools in the city.
These new lights and signs have replaced the preexisting 20 mph from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. signs. The new signs will have flashing yellow lights during specific times to indicate a 20 mph school zone. These times include; school opening, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., at lunch time 10:50 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., and at school closing, 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Please slow down and obey the new 20 mph when flashing school zone.
