License Your Pet Today

Updated April 19, 2024

Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service, SCRAPS will be waiving the late fees or fines for individuals licensing their pets for the entire month of May.

All cats and dogs over the age of 6 months are required to be licensed by both the City of Spokane and Spokane County. Failure to do so can result in a $200 fine.

Licensing your pet is beneficial for their safety. If your pet runs away or is lost their license will show whoever finds them that they already have a family. In addition, the license will provide a phone number for them to contact you about your lost furry friend.

License your cat today for only $15 or $25 if your cat is not neutered. Licensing a dog cost $25 of $50 if not neutered. You will be required to renew your pet’s license every 12 months for the duration of their life. In addition, owners of license pets are eligible to receive a spray/neuter coupon for a discount on sterilization costs.

The licensing fees help fund adoption programs therefore reducing the amount of euthanized animals. By licensing your pets you are helping local animals without a home.

You have 31 days to license your pet without any late fees or fines! We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and to take care of their pets. After all they are a part of your family.

Register your pet today; online, by mailing the application to SCRAPS (6815 E. Trent), or at one of the following locations; SCRAPS, Spokane Humane Society, Pawpular Compassions Pet Store and Spokane City Hall.
