Discussion:

Under the Safe and Healthy initiative, City staff have worked with regional partners to assess and evaluate important advancements including the integration of 9-1-1 and dispatch services. They've also worked to improve public safety response to vulnerable populations and provide them with follow-up services that reduce visits to the emergency room while increasing the level of care for the individual. Criminal justice reform efforts also are proceeding regionwide and an additional major grant has been received to continue this work. These public safety responses also are paired with improved maintenance of public space and standards for quality housing.
