Tyler Whitney, policy advisor to Spokane Mayor David Condon, has accepted an offer to return to his law practice and will leave the City later this month.

Whitney joined the city earlier this year to establish more focused interactions with the City Council and to evaluate how proposed local and state legislation will impact City operations. Whitney has overseen successful collaborations on policy, improved communication with the City Council and facilitated important conversations involving the future of the city.

“Tyler has been an important collaborator in many of the successful policy outcomes this year,” Condon said. “We will miss his great contributions, but wish him well as he returns to his passion, which is practicing law.”

Whitney is returning to the law firm of Winston & Cashatt, where he previously worked as an attorney.
