Spokane Police weekend re-cap for 2/28-3/2

- Suspect returns to Goodwill several times after being trespassed; Spokane Police arrest 51-year-old Curtis Burgett for 2ndDegree Burglary, Attempted 2ndDegree Assault and Impersonating an Officer.
On 2-28-14 Spokane Police responded to the Goodwill, 304 E. 2ndAve, three different times regarding complaints against the same suspect. At 11 a.m. the suspect, Curtis Burgett (51), was caught shoplifting and was trespassed from the store. At 2 p.m. he returned and was in the parking lot looking in cars and scaring customers, and at 4 p.m. he returned again, this time wearing a Spokane Fire Department safety vest. He entered an electrical room, grabbed a pipe wrench and threatened employees. He then left the business and went to several other businesses claiming to be an employee with the Fire Department and demanded access to check their sprinkler systems. Burgett was booked for 2ndBurglary, Attempted 2ndassault and impersonating an officer because only fire marshals inspect sprinkler systems and fire marshals have limited commissions.
- Police arrest 22-year-old Arika McDowell for 2ndDegree Burglary of Wal-Mart. She is accused of shoplifting from the store after being previously trespassed. Additionally she inhaled a can of compressed air in the bathroom, removed her clothes and passed out.
On 2-28-14 at around 12 p.m. Spokane Police responded to the Wal-Mart, 2301 W. Wellesley reference a shoplifter. Police contacted 22-year-old Arika McDowell, who had previously been trespassed from the business for shoplifting. Through their investigation they discovered McDowell had entered the store, stole a can of compressed air, inhaled it in the bathroom, removed her clothing, and passed out. Medics were called to treat McDowell. Officers arrested McDowell for 2ndBurglary and Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.
- Spokane Police arrest Auntie's Bookstore burglary suspect after employees find him passed out in the store's mezzanine; Joseph Holland (27) arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary.
On 03-01-14 at around 9 a.m. Spokane Police responded to Auntie's Bookstore, 402 W. Main on a report of a burglary. Employees came to work in the morning and discovered the business had been burglarized. They then located a suspect, who was intoxicated and sleeping inside the store, he was later identified as 27-year-old Joseph Holland. Officers took Holland into custody and booked him for 2nd Burglary.
- Spokane Police locate “Washington Most Wanted” suspect at 5000 N. Lacey. 31-year-old Sky Johnson was booked into the Spokane County Jail for three outstanding warrants.
On 03-01-14 Spokane Police received a tip that that 31-year-old Sky Johnson, who has been featured on “Washington's Most Wanted” was staying at the location. Officers responded to the location and located Johnson. She was arrested on three outstanding warrants for Forgery, Resisting Arrest and Malicious Mischief.
