Project Description and Approximate Schedule: The city of Spokane is planning to rehabilitate six streets spread across the city. Work on these streets will take place over the next three years (2018 – 2020). These projects will update the existing pavement surface by grinding the existing pavement down and overlaying it with new asphalt. Wheelchair ramps will be brought into ADA compliance and minor storm sewer upgrades and/or repairs will also be included in the project. Please see below for project limits and their approximate schedules.

Summer 2018 – Sprague Avenue

The City of Spokane will repave Sprague Ave. between the intersections of Scott St. and Helena St. The project is scheduled to be constructed summer, 2018. Please see pavement cut policy below.

Future year street preservation projects

  • 2019 – Maple/ Ash Streets
    The City of Spokane will repave Maple St. and Ash St. between the intersections of Rowan Ave. to Country Holmes Boulevard. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2019. More information will become available as the project nears.
  • 2019 – Wellesley Avenue
    The City of Spokane will repave Wellesley Ave. between the intersections of Driscoll Boulevard and Milton St. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2019. More information will become available as the project nears.
  • 2020 – Nevada Street
    The City of Spokane will repave Nevada St. between the intersections of Wellesley Ave. to Francis Ave. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2020. More information will become available as the project nears.
  • 2020 – Mission Avenue
    The City of Spokane will repave Mission Ave. between the intersections of Greene St. to Trent Ave. The project is scheduled to be constructed in 2020. More information will become available as the project nears.

  • Special Access Requirements

  • Pavement Cut Policy
    If you are considering installing sewer, water, gas or other utility services, please make sure all of the work is completed by June 1, 2018 (date valid for Sprague Ave. project only). The City of Spokane's Pavement Cut Policy specifies that once a street has been rehabilitated, the new asphalt cannot be cut for three years. This Policy can be found on our web site (click on Engineering Standards and policies).
