Welcome to Smart Rec Spokane at the Convention Center – Powered by Spokane Parks & Rec, Evergreen Region Volleyball Association, Skyhawks Sports Academy, Spokane Youth Sports Association, and Spokane Public Facilities District!

This partnership with the aid of CARES Act funding has allowed us to offer an array of indoor recreation opportunities for youth and adults under Phase 2 guidelines. Check out all opportunities below!

Adult Open & Organized Volleyball

Ages 18+ Get your team of 3 players together or make a reservation as an individual player. Our open and organized volleyball sessions offer players a chance for scrimmage play. Sessions are Thursdays from 5:00pm-6:30pm or 7:00pm-8:30pm. Pre-registration is required as drop-in players is not currently allowed. Location: Spokane Convention Center 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Open & Organized Pickleball

Ages 18+ Come play indoor Pickleball for a limited time at the Convention Center following COVID-19 return to play guidelines! Our Open and Organized Pickleball sessions offer players a chance for scrimmage play. Sessions are Mon./Wed./Fri. from 9am - Noon and Wednesday evenings from 5-8pm. 24 hour advanced pre-registration is required. Only 30 spaces per day per session. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a health screening questionnaire and will be assigned a court. Please do not enter the facility more than 10 minutes prior to the start of play. Location: Spokane Convention Center 202 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. $5 per person per session

Therapeutic Recreation Cornhole (ages 14+)

Just for those with developmental and/or physical disabilities — Fun, friends and a fan favorite lawn game! We will have boards set up in the Convention Center ballroom so we ca physically distance.

Therapeutic Recreation Line Dancing (ages 14+)

Just for those with with developmental and/or physical disabilities — Easy beginner line dancing for everyone! Grab your dancing shoes and join us as we learn the fundamentals of one dancing. Class size will be limited to allow for social distancing.

Adult Open Gym

3 v 3 play allowed per court, players will be on a court in a group of 6 for the 3 hour session. No mixing of other groups or changing courts is permitted in a session | To view times, days of the week & TO REGISTER, select on the Event Details button below.

Youth 12 & Under Volleyball Clinic

Players will be grouped by age level. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting and serving. This co-ed program is designed for the beginner to intermediate player. Our staff will assist each athlete in developing the fundamental skills of the game through drills, modified games as allowable by the current COVID Guidelines | Tuesday/Thursday evenings starting November 17, 2020-December 29, 2020 Entry Fee: $200 + processing fees *Also includes a t-shirt, ERVA blow-up volleyball, ERVA sticker* TWO Registration Options: Session 1: 4:00pm-5:30pm Session 2: 6:00pm-7:30pm | Late sign ups will be accepted, registration fee will ONLY be prorated AFTER December 3, 2020. Basketball (ages 6-12)

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player -teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages. *No Class 11/25.

Cheerleading Clinic (ages 6-12)

Skyhawks Cheerleading teaches young athletes the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team! Each cheerleader learns proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques. The clinic concludes with a choreographed performance on the final day.

Speed, Agility and Quickness Clinic (ages 6-12)

Skyhawks Speed, Agility and Quickness Clinic is designed to introduce young athletes and build up returning Athletes to a variety of different movements and techniques for sports in one setting. They will learn and improve on running technique, quickness, and agility. These sessions will also include fun games to improve on reaction time and creating overall good habits for proper sports movement.

Volleyball Clinic (ages 6-12)

Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. *No Class 11/28.

Multi-Sport (ages 26mo - 5½yr)

The essentials of soccer and basketball are introduced in a fun and safe environment with lots of encouragement. Children will learn balance, body movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development through a series of sport-specific games tailored to their attention spans.

SoccerTots (ages 26mo – 6yr)

Our flagship program! Playable on almost any surface, these soccer-themed motor skill classes are very easy for youngsters to get into. Younger age groups focus on developing motor skills and self-confidence; older classes focus more on developing core soccer skills and personal focus, and introduce an element of light competition.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Convention Center has graciously offered participants the discounted parking rate of $1 per hour.

Entering the Convention Center

Line Dancing & Cornhole attendees: Please enter the building through the Breezeway doors on the West Campus. Upon entering the building continue down the hallway to the 100 Ballrooms. Staff will be available to direct you.

All other attendees: Please enter the building through the Point Lobby entrance on the East Campus, directly outside of the parking lot. Upon entering the building, take the escalator or elevator to the second floor and continue down the hallway towards the Exhibit Halls. Staff will be available to direct you.

Concessions

Outside food is not allowed in the Convention Center, however, they have great affordable options with their in house concessions!
