Section 12.08.060 Festival Streets Designated

 

  1. It is a priority of the City of Spokane that special events primarily occur within Spokane Parks, however, the City may designate certain portions of City streets as “festival streets” to facilitate recurring temporary closure of vehicular traffic for large pedestrian-oriented festivals and special events that take place outside of Spokane Parks.
  1. The following streets shall be considered festival streets to facilitate the recurring temporary closure of vehicle traffic for large pedestrian-oriented festivals and special events:

  1. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require the City to permit any special event or the closure of any designated festival street.
  1. City staff shall develop policies and procedures to standardize the temporary closure of festival streets, including but not limited to coordination with Spokane Transit Authority.
