Spokane City Council Member Amber Waldref and Council Member-Elect Lori Kinnear recently hired new Legislative Aides.

Kaitlin Larson will take over for Kinnear, who was recently elected to council representing District Two and previously worked for Council Member Waldref. Larson has a Master’s Degree in Communication and Leadership Management from Gonzaga and worked previously for Alliance Pacific as an account manager.

“I am excited to welcome Kaitlin, who brings with her over 10 years of experience in administrative skills and community engagement to the council office,” Waldref said.

Kinnear hired Grifynn Clay, a Gonzaga graduate who is finalizing his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. He previously worked as a campaign development executive for United Way of Spokane County and interned for the secretary of the Secretary of the United States Senate.

“Grifynn volunteered for five months on my campaign,” Kinnear said. “I found him to be amazingly thoughtful and politically savvy.”

Both aides will begin work on Jan. 4, 2016.
