Spokane Comcast customers will notice changes to the way they watch their local access channels. Beginning Thursday, March 30, viewers will be able to watch their local government in action in high definition on Comcast Cable channel 325.

“All City of Spokane produced programs including City of Spokane Public Meetings will be shown in HD” said CityCable 5 Director John Delay. “Some external analog programming we receive from outside sources will be up converted to HD for playback”.

Cable customers will still be able to watch local cable channel five “CityCable 5”, as the cable franchise requires PEG (Public, Education, and Government) to be carried in the basic tier.

Additionally, on Saturday, April 1, Comcast Cable channel 19 (currently Vme Network) will change over to PBS Kids 24/7 channel. PBS Kids 24/7 is an all-day (and all-night) offering featuring the best of the PBS Kids programs.
