The City of Spokane will host a second Open House to present the preliminary concepts for the proposed Millwood Trail, south of the Spokane River from Greene St. to Felts Field. The open house will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Spokane Community College, Lair-Student Center, 1810 N. Greene St., Building 6.

The project provides an opportunity to improve the bike and pedestrian network, provide access to the river and recreation opportunities. The City encourages neighbors, bikers, hikers, kayakers and community members, to attend the open house. This is the next step in the development of a conceptual plan for the trail.

The open house will present information on existing conditions and constraints, a preliminary preferred alignment for the trail and opportunities for access to the river, along with input received to date from stakeholders and the community. This open house will provide the public with an opportunity to weigh in on the trail alignment and desired amenities.

The project is noted as a future shared use path on the City’s master bike plan. The project is funded for preliminary design only; construction funding and a construction date have not been determined.
