The majority of the Spokane Fire Department's fire stations are in residential neighborhoods – and we take our duty to be good neighbors seriously.
You may think living next to a fire station would be noisy, but that's not the case. We always try to be aware of our surroundings and the noise we make when we go out and respond to calls, particularly at night. When legally possible, we'll just run our lights when traffic conditions don't require sirens.
Our firefighters also take pride in SFD's stations. They spend 24 hours on duty and 72 hours off, so the stations are really their home away from home. SFD firefighters take care of the stations and grounds, keeping them clean and presentable.
Our stations are strategically located to reach the greatest amount of people in the shortest amount of time. We appreciate you letting us be a part of your neighborhoods, and we're proud to be your neighbors!
