Thanks to the recently passed state transportation package, the final piece of funding is in place for the University District Gateway Bridge. It could well become an iconic feature of the University District, but it's not the only thing to get excited about in this rapidly developing area of Spokane.
October is University District Month, and an Open House later this month is showcasing projects and programs happening in the District! And there is a LOT happening – plans for the Gateway Bridge, South Bridge Landing, WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Spokane Teaching Health Clinic and Jensen Byrd building and the recent opening of GU's Hemmingson Center are among the big projects shaping the University District for generations to come.
Join us to celebrate and learn more about what's coming. The Open House is Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 3-6 p.m. at the Hemmingson Center (702 E. DeSmet Ave).
