The Community Housing and Human Services’ program Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) has added an interactive website to coordinate with the department’s efforts to end homelessness in our community. The Spokane HMIS website has an intuitive design that focuses on usability.
The home page greets you with a welcome and a brief description of what the HMIS Program does. You can also find current announcements and items of interest that would be of interest to regular HMIS users and lay people who are looking for information on the impact that City programs and partners are having on the homeless population in Spokane.
HMIS users can find information on the various trainings offered by the team, including Basic User, Data Quality and Monitoring under the Training page. The schedule of trainings is updated regularly and includes descriptions and syllabi of each. There are also tutorials with plans to include videos of hot button issues that users encounter on a fairly regular basis.
The HMIS website will become an integral part of the program’s users and community partners. We encourage you to visit the website. After you visit the website, let us know what you think by emailing hmis@spokanecity.org, we appreciate any feedback about the website or if you would like to ask any questions that the information might inspire.
