Final Design for a Rehabilitated Riverside

The City of Spokane is seeking some final feedback on design options for a project that would rehabilitate Riverside Avenue in downtown Spokane from Division to Monroe streets. Citizens are being asked to review a presentation and take a short survey.

The Riverside project is scheduled to begin construction as early as 2021. Earlier public outreach and feedback on the project determined that the street should include three travel lanes, the addition of bike lanes, and maximizing parking.

The City is now asking citizens to learn about some final options to increase parking on Riverside Avenue and the balance between parking and traffic flow. Additional information also is available about how bicycle facilities fit with the parking options. As part of the survey, citizens will be asked to provide their preferences about how the design elements will come together.

The survey to gather feedback on the options is available through Feb. 28. More information on the project is available on the web site.
