Chapter 02.04 Civil Emergencies
Section 02.04.010 Purpose and Declaration of Policy
The purpose of this chapter is to set out and clarify the authority of the City and of its officers with regard to local, regional and national emergency and disaster situations. It is intended, in conformity with Article 11, Section 11 of the Washington State Constitution and with chapter 38.52 RCW, to provide the City with the broadest power permitted by constitutional and statutory authority to preserve the public peace, health, safety and welfare.
