Chapter 13.04 Water

Article I. General Provisions

Section 13.04.0820 Director’s Authority
  1. The director or an authorized representative of the water and hydroelectric services department may require any customer or occupant of premises to cooperate in providing any information, access to premises or any building, or testing or inspection requested relating to the enforcement of the City’s cross-connection control program. Failure to cooperate with any such request, in addition to being a violation of this chapter, is grounds for denial or termination of water service, with or without further notice.
  1. In addition to the specifications in the Cross-Connection Control Manual, the director may issue regulations or, in a specific case, an order to implement the City’s cross-connection control program and may assess additional fees or charges to customers and/or other responsible persons for inspections, tests, equipment or other items furnished in the course of implementing the City’s cross-connection control program. Such regulations or orders may address:
    1. minimum cross-connection control operating policies;
    1. backflow prevention device installation practices, containment and isolation requirements; and
    1. backflow prevention device testing procedures and records-keeping requirements.
