Chapter 17F.020 Alternative Methods and Materials for Mixed-use Residential Buildings
Section 17F.020.090 Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems in Five-story Apartment Buildings
The owners of mixed-use residential buildings of Type V-A construction approved under this chapter shall be responsible for assuring that the fire and life-safety systems required by the Building Code and this chapter are maintained in an operable condition at all times. Unless otherwise required by the fire chief, testers approved by the City shall conduct annual testing of such systems. A written record shall be maintained, forwarded to the fire marshal on an annual basis and be available to the inspection authority.
