Section 17F.080.220 Incidental Functions
- A fire alarm system may be designed to perform incidental functions such as the release of self-opening or self-closing doors, cutting off fuel or power supplies, cutting off air-handling equipment, activating smoke control and turning on emergency lighting so long as the accomplishment of such incidental functions does not impair the effectiveness and reliability of the alarm-sounding devices in response to required sending stations.
- Locking devices on stair tower or egress doors shall release upon activation of alarm system.
