Section 17F.080.260 Fire Protection System Verification
- A person responsible for a fire protection system requiring inspection by a state-licensed and Spokane fire department registered fire equipment servicer must submit to the fire department the servicer’s report and the verification fee as established in SMC 8.02.034(F). Upon receipt of the report and the fee, the fire department:

- verifies that the service was performed by a state-licensed servicing company registered with the fire department as a fire equipment servicer;
-
- reviews the servicer’s report to determine if the service was successful with no deficiencies;
-
- in the event there are deficiencies, provides an inspection, either on-site or by phone, and verifies the necessary correction; and
-
- maintains service records in a databank.
- Any person responsible for a fire protection system requiring inspection by a registered fire equipment servicer who fails or refuses to comply with any of the requirements of this section is subject to a civil infraction pursuant to chapter 1.05 SMC.
- Verification fees generated under SMC 8.02.034(F) are allocated by the fire department toward the expense of enforcing fire protection system regulations.
- For purposes of this chapter, a fire protection system includes, but is not limited to, fire detection or fire suppression equipment approved by the fire department.
