Section 17F.090.080 Miscellaneous Requirements

  1. A new gas appliance is considered approved if marked or labeled with a distinctive trademark or name as a means of identification, which shows approval by AGA or UL and shows the rated heat input in BTUs per hour.
     
  2. Propane-fueled hot water heaters and heating appliances must be equipped with an AGA-approved complete shutoff type automatic pilot, unless the appliance is installed on the exterior of a building or in an uninhabited building when approved by the inspector.
     
  3. A used gas appliance may not be installed for use on a consumer’s premises until approved by the inspector and identified accordingly.
     
  4. No appliance may ever be fired or adjusted to pass a greater amount of gas than its rated capacity.
