Chapter 17G.010 Building and Construction Permits

Section 17G.010.110 Ministerial Permit Categorically Exempt from the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)

This group of ministerial permits and certificates includes those issued by the building official, the engineering services director, planning and economic development services director, historic preservation officer, fire marshal, street director and other administrative officials for construction and development. However, this category of permits relates only to development projects so minor in scope as to be categorically exempt from the requirement of the Washington State Environmental Policy Act for a threshold determination. Permit applications of this type are reviewed for compliance with specifically prescribed construction standards, as well as other provisions of the Spokane Municipal Code. An applicant is entitled to any such permit that conforms to those prescribed standards and provisions.
