Chapter 17G.050 Hearing Examiner

Article II. Procedures

Section 17G.050.150 Staff Reports
  1. The planning and economic development services department coordinates and assembles the comments and remarks of other City departments and makes a written report to the hearing examiner on all applications.
  1. The report contains, at a minimum, a description of the proposed use, a summary of applicable zoning and comprehensive plan requirements and policies, other applicable requirements and policies, recommended findings and conclusions relating to the proposed use, a recommendation, and proposed conditions if the recommendation is for approval. The specific content requirement for planning and economic development services department reports is set forth in the planning and economic development services department rules of procedure.
  1. A least ten days prior to the scheduled hearing, the department shall file its report with the hearing examiner and causes a copy to be mailed or delivered to the applicant or the applicant’s representative. A copy of the report will be made available to any other person for the cost of reproduction.
     
  2. If a report is not available as provided in this section, the hearing examiner may reschedule or continue the hearing upon his own motion or upon the motion of a party, leave the record open for additional comment, or the hearing examiner may decide the matter without the report.
