Section 17F.050.030 Plans and Specifications
  1. An applicant for an electrical permit must furnish, subject to modification or waiver by the electrical inspector in appropriate cases, a set of wiring plans and specifications, or a wiring schedule, with respect to wiring in excess of two hundred amperes, single phase, or one hundred fifty amperes, three phase. The building official may require that plans, computations and specifications be prepared by an electrical engineer licensed by Washington state.
  2. The applicant must render the plan:

    1. to scale;

    2. upon substantial paper;

    3. with sufficient clarity to indicate the location, nature and extent of the proposed work;

    4. so as to show in detail that the work will comply with the code and all other pertinent laws.

    Specifications may be on the plan or on separate sheets in indelible form.

  3. The applicant must indicate:

    1. the type, rating and location of any new service equipment;

    2. for each feeder, a diagram or schedule showing:

      1. size of feeder switch;

      2. size of feeder conductors;

      3. size of feeder raceway;

      4. location of panel boards or load center;

      5. type of occupancy;

      6. area served;

      7. all special loads;

      8. total computed load for lighting, appliances and motors determined as specified in the National Electrical Code.

    3. on the panelboard or load center schedule for each panel:

      1. bus-bar capacity,

      2. voltage rating and phase,

      3. number and type of circuit protective devices,

      4. wattage or ampere requirements for each circuit.
         
  4. The applicant must show short circuit fault currents on riser diagrams to indicate compliance with Sections 110-9, 110-10 and Article 240 of the National Electrical Code.
