Section 17F.070.340 Electrical Requirements
Electrical equipment, wiring and appliances of an approved type which were installed and have been maintained in a safe manner need not be replaced. An installation which was improperly installed or which has been damaged or deteriorated to the point of hazard must be replaced, repaired, or altered to meet current loads in accordance with the electrical code.
Every dwelling unit in an apartment house must have a separate circuit for:
general lighting;
the dryer;
the electric range;
the furnace;
the hot water tank; and
the kitchen.
Every efficiency dwelling unit must have a separate circuit for:
the kitchen area;
the living area; and
the range.
Every housekeeping room must have a separate circuit for:
general lighting; and
the electric range, if required.
There shall be at least one supplied electric light fixture in every:
bathroom and water closet compartment;
furnace room;
common hallway; and
laundry room.
Duplex outlets are required as follows:
Dwelling unit:
Kitchen: two;
Living room: two;
Bathroom: one, which may be in a wall lighting fixture;
Other habitable room: two, on opposite walls.
Efficiency dwelling unit: four, two in kitchen area;
Housekeeping room: three.
