Chapter 10.42 Solicitation

Section 10.42.040 Charitable Solicitation Application

  1. A person proposing to solicit for charitable purposes must make written application to the office of taxes and licenses at least fifteen days before the start of the proposed solicitation.

  2. The applicant must state the:

    1. name under which the organization is registered with the state department of licensing;

    2. name and address of local “key personnel”, as defined in RCW 19.09.075(4);

    3. methods of solicitation to be used; and

    4. dates and places of the proposed solicitation.

  3. The applicant must submit with the application a:

    1. copy of the current registration statement on file with the state department of licensing; and

    2. certified statement from the state director of licensing that the organization is currently validly registered.
