Chapter 13.04 Water
Article I. General Provisions
Section 13.04.080 Construction Specifications
Construction shall meet City of Spokane Water and Hydroelectric Serv ices Department Rules and Regulations for Water Serv ice Installations.
Every serv ice pipe shall be provided with a ball valve for each recipient, easily accessible, placed inside the foundation wall, beyond damage from frost, and so situated that the water can be conveniently shut off and drained from the pipes.
All water pipes in buildings shall be so arranged as to drain toward the drain cocks placed for that purpose.
All water pipe shall be soft annealed Type K copper water pipe or approved equal as provided in the director's regulations. Use of HDPE is outlined in the City of Spokane Water Department Rules and Regulations for Water Serv ice Installations.
All serv ice pipes inside property lines shall hereafter be laid to a depth of at least five feet below the surface of the ground.
All serv ice pipes laid inside the property line on any premises shall be left exposed in the trench until inspected by the water serv ice inspector, and when they have passed inspection and have been approved, the pipes shall be properly covered by the property owner.
