Chapter 13.04 Wa ter
Article I. General Provisions
Section 13.04.080 Construction Specifications
Construction shall meet City of Spokane Wa ter and Hydroelectric Services Department Rules and Regulations for Wa ter Service Installations.
Every service pipe shall be provided with a ball valve for each recipient, easily accessible, placed inside the foundation wa ll, beyond damage from frost, and so situated that the wa ter can be conveniently shut off and drained from the pipes.
All wa ter pipes in buildings shall be so arranged as to drain towa rd the drain cocks placed for that purpose.
All wa ter pipe shall be soft annealed Type K copper wa ter pipe or approved equal as provided in the director's regulations. Use of HDPE is outlined in the City of Spokane Wa ter Department Rules and Regulations for Wa ter Service Installations.
All service pipes inside property lines shall hereafter be laid to a depth of at least five feet below the surface of the ground.
All service pipes laid inside the property line on any premises shall be left exposed in the trench until inspected by the wa ter service inspector, and when they have passed inspection and have been approved, the pipes shall be properly covered by the property owner.
