Section 04.02.200 Utility Lien – Additional
The City has a lien against premises receiving water utility services, for up to four months’ water utility charges, enforceable by termination of service, all as provided in RCW 35.21.290 and RCW 35.21.300. This is not by way of limitation of the right to terminate service for nonpayment, but service will not be denied to new tenants accepting responsibility for their utility service or new property owners beyond accrued rights under contract or statute.
