Article VII. Fiduciary Funds

Section 07.08.602 Firemen’s Pension Fund

1. There is created and established in the treasury of the City of Spokane a fund known and designated as the “firemen’s pension fund” which consists of:

1. 1. all bequests, fees, gifts, emoluments or donations given or paid thereto;

1. 2. forty-five percent of all moneys received by the state from the taxes on fire insurance premiums;

1. 3. taxes paid pursuant to the provisions of RCW 41.16.060;

1. 4. interest on the investments of the fund; and

1. 5. contributions by firemen as provided in RCW 41.16.070.

2. All moneys given to the fire department on account of services rendered at a fire or for any other reason not otherwise designated shall be deemed to be a donation or gift to the fire pension fund.
