Chapter 10.43 Telephone and Telegraph Construction

Section 10.43.020 Application

1. A communication utility must file with the director of engineering services a written application for a construction permit, accompanied by detailed maps, plans and specifications showing:

1. 1. all excavations;

1. 2. the apparatus and appliances proposed;

1. 3. the location of poles, wires, cables, conduits, pipes, manholes and other apparatus;

1. 4. the duct, conduit or portion of the system of poles or masts reserved for the exclusive use of the City;

1. 5. the structure of all apparatus and appliances; and

1. 6. the height above or depth below the finished grade of the public way.

2. The utility must also:

1. 1. file the application,

1. 2. pay the fee, and

1. 3. post the bond

for a street obstruction permit.
