Article I. General Provisions
Section 13.04.0806 Service Pipes – Cocks
- Cost of all service pipes from the City mains to the premises, including a service cock, shall be paid by the property owner(s). A private contractor shall excavate the entire trench and install the service line from the property line to the premises, subject to inspection and approval of the water and hydroelectric services department. The water and hydroelectric services department shall install the portion of the service line from the City main to the property line.
- Locations that have retaining walls within City right-of-way, the service pipes shall be laid by the City only to the street side of the wall. The property owner(s) must install and maintain, at their own expense, all service pipes from that point to the premises, subject to inspection and approval of the water and hydroelectric services department.
- Multiple service pipes are not permitted without specific written approval from the director.
