        							Section 17E.060.730 Structure Setbacks
        
        	- Purpose.
 
        
        
        Structure setbacks provide space between the shoreline buffer and structures in order to minimize stress to the shoreline buffer from development and to protect the buffer during construction activities.
        
        
        	- Buildings and other accessory structures shall be set back in accordance with Table 17E.060.770-1, Development Standards.
 
        
        
        
        	- The following minor features shall be allowed in the structure setback:
 
        
        
        
        	- 
        	
        		- Landscaping.
 
        	
        	 
        
        
        
        	- 
        	
        		- Ground surfaces, such as sidewalks and patios.
 
        	
        	 
        
        
        
        	- 
        	
        		- Uncovered stairways and steps.
 
        	
        	 
        
        
        
        	- 
        	
        		- Flagpoles; and
 
        	
        	 
        
        
        
        	- 
        	
        		- Uncovered decks, roof eaves and overhangs, chimneys, and fire escapes may project a maximum of twenty percent of the depth of the required setback.
