Chapter 17F.090 Mechanical Code
Section 17F.090.020 Organization and Enforcement
Section 104 of the IMC is deleted.
- The mechanical inspector is the building official or a designated employee.
- The mechanical inspector has responsibility to:

- process applications for permits;
-
- inspect and test appliances, equipment and installations;
-
- make and promulgate rules, regulations and interpretations for the mechanical code;
-
- initiate proceedings, including prosecutions, to enforce the mechanical code;
-
- maintain records of permits, licenses and other administrative activities;
-
- provide clerical assistance to the board of heating mechanical examiners.
- The board of heating mechanical examiners has jurisdiction over mechanics licenses, as provided in SMC 4.06.150 through 4.06.180.
- The hearing officer and construction review board have jurisdiction over the mechanical code, except licensing, as provided in chapter 4.06 SMC.
