wa ter”
“Industrial process wa stewa ter” or “process wa stewa ter”, also sometimes referred to as “non-domestic sewa ge” or by similar terms, is that category of wa stewa ter containing wa ter-carried wa stes other than that traditionally derived from human or household customer sources. The term is distinguished from other categories or wa stewa ter identified in SMC 13.03.0215(A) .
The term includes two subcategories:
“Manufacturing process wa stewa ter” is wa stewa ter of a nature, concentration or constituency traditionally originating from industrial or manufacturing customers.
This generally includes sewa ge from one or more heavy industrial or manufacturing process sources or industrial clean-up procedures.
It includes one process discharge or several commingled process discharges.
“Non-manufacturing process wa stewa ter” includes all other process wa stewa ter.
This generally includes wa stewa ter from business, institutional or commercial customers which generate non-domestic wa stewa ter components derived from a business or commercial process other than manufacturing or heavy industry.
Examples of included sources are wa stewa ter from commercial laundries, radiator shops and photo finishers, as well as wa stewa ter from vehicles used for storage or transportation of wa stewa ter, such as septic tank pumpers or haulers.
