Section 02.005.060 Policy Advisor
Under the direction of the city council, the policy advisor is responsible for providing professional support, guidance and advice to the City Council as required. This position will assist in the research and drafting of council documents, assist in the research and develop legislative policies and ensure that legal documents are drafted, reviewed, and interpreted in compliance with all various legal requirements as per applicable laws. This position is accountable for taking day-to-day policy responsibilities and providing policy advice that includes all aspects of the analysis, investigation and drafting process. The specific responsibilities and functions of the policy advisor may be adjusted from time to time as determined by the city council.
