Chapter 02.04 Emergency Management

Section 02.04.090 Duties of the Executive Head

 

The Executive Head shall be responsible for the following:

  1. Issuing or requesting issuance of declarations of civil emergency pursuant to SMC 2.04.030.
  1. Issuing emergency orders pursuant to SMC 2.04.040.
  1. Requesting the governor proclaim a state of emergency or disaster when the resources of the City, area, or region are inadequate to cope with the emergency or disaster.
  1. Other duties as may be imminently necessary for the protection of life and property.
