- The City Clerk is the secretary of the municipal corporation; performing functions as provided in various state statutes, the City Charter, the municipal code, council rules of procedure and city policies and procedures.
- The City Clerk acts as editor and publishes the Official Gazette.
- The City Clerk acts as the City’s records officer.
- The City Clerk is a member of the fire pension board and of the police relief and pension board.
