Article II. Departments

Section 03.01A.265 Fire
  1. The fire division, through various departments, provides the community with a number of services, including but not limited to:
    1. response to medical help, fires and other situations where the public calls for assistance;
    1. fire investigations, and code enforcement and engineering services augmented by public education, technical assistance for fire code compliance, inspections and safety assessments; and
    1. CPR and other educational classes.
  1. The fire chief is responsible for the leadership and management of the fire division and the various departments within the fire division.
  1. The fire chief or fire marshal is the “fire official” for enforcement of various federal and state fire codes, including fireworks and underground storage tanks.
