Section 03.01B.084 Wastewater Management

 

  1. Wastewater Management is an administrative department within the Public Works Division responsible for managing all wastewater in the city of Spokane, including stormwater. The City’s wastewater system includes customers inside the city limits, those outside the city in the City of Spokane’s sewer service area, and wholesale flows from Spokane County.
  1. The Wastewater Management’s sewer maintenance section cleans and maintains the public storm and sanitary sewer mains and pumps on-site private treatment facilities when requested.
  1. The Wastewater Management’s Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility (RPWRF) section operates and maintains the City’s water reclamation facility, public pump stations, and associated pressure lines. RPWRF also leads the City of Spokane’s biosolids management and pretreatment programs.
