Chapter 04.30 Tourism and Cultural Investment Grant Committee

Section 04.30.020 Membership

Consistent with RCW 67.28.1817, the Committee consists of seven voting members nominated by the mayor and appointed by the city council annually. The membership is comprised of:

  1. Three representatives of businesses required to collect the tax levied by SMC 08.08.010; and 
  1. Three persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by the revenue from the tax levied by SMC 08.08.010; 
  1. One member of the city council, who shall chair the committee.
  1. Membership of the committee is determined by RCW 67.28.1817.
  1. Members appointed pursuant to SMC 04.30.020A shall live in or within fifty miles of the city limits of Spokane and must have an in-person work role within the City of Spokane.
