Article III. Franchise Conditions

Section 10.27A.570 Emergency Audio Alert System
  1. The cable system shall be engineered, constructed and maintained to provide for an emergency alert system consistent with all applicable local, state and federal law and FCC regulations.
    1. This audio alert system shall allow authorized officials of the City of designated regional or national representatives to override automatically the “audio” signal on all channels and to transmit and report emergency information.
    1. A franchisee shall, in the case of any emergency or disaster, make its entire system available without charge to the City or any other governmental or civil defense agency that the City shall designate for the duration of such emergency or disaster.
  1. In all cases, a franchisee shall comply with applicable federal regulations at 47 CFR section 76.1711 regarding emergency alerts.
