Chapter 10.34A For-Hire Transportation
Section 10.34A.070 For-Hire Operator Licenses
- Applications for for-hire operator licenses shall be made to the license officer with payment of the required fee, as provided in SMC 08.02.0210.
- Upon receipt of a complete application and the required fee, and unless there are grounds for denying such license application as stated in SMC 10.34A.070(C), the license officer shall issue a license authorizing the applicant to act as a for-hire operator in the city of Spokane. Such license shall be displayed in a conspicuous place in the principal place of business of the owner.
- The license officer may deny a for-hire operator license application or license renewal application based on the following:
- Failure to provide file proof of liability or property damage insurance with the license officer;
- Failure to comply with any applicable requirement to obtain a city business license.
