Chapter 10.38 Mechanical Newspaper Dispensers

Section 10.38.040 Dispenser Specifications

Allowable dispensers:

  1. consist of a metal frame, a metal back panel, metal legs fastened to the back of the frame and other panels made of either metal or clear plastic;
     
  2. have a main dispenser box which does not exceed twenty-five inches in width, twenty inches in height and ten inches in depth;
     
  3. have a total height above grade of between twenty-six and forty-five inches;
     
  4. have no legs, signs or other parts which protrude beyond the maximum box width;
     
  5. have no lettering beyond that giving the name of the publication dispensed or the owner of the device;
     
  6. are of a color reasonably conforming to that of the standard to which secured; and
     
  7. in the downtown area are attached to the street light poles or other suitable metal standards by chain and padlock.
