Chapter 10.47 Emergency Medical Transport

Section 10.47.030 Definitions

  1. “Ambulance” means a ground or air vehicle designed and used to transport the ill or injured and to provide personnel, facilities and equipment to treat patients before and during transportation.
     
  2. “Emergency transport” means an ambulance transport of a person on an emergency basis to an appropriate medical facility for immediate treatment.
     
  3. “Non-emergency transport” means planned transport of a person in a medically stable condition on a non-emergency basis.
