Chapter 10.48 False Alarms

Section 10.48.310 Confidentiality of Alarm Information

  1. All information gathered through:

    1. alarm registrations; and/or

    2. activations of false alarms; and/or

    3. submission of customer lists by alarm sales, installation or monitoring companies; and/or

    4. through the appeals process

    must be held in confidence by all employees of the City of Spokane and its third party administrator if applicable. Such information is proprietary and is hereby declared confidential. A disclosure of such information would violate the customer’s right to privacy and could endanger that person’s right to safety.
     

  2. Absent special circumstances or court order, all such information must not be released to the public or any other person.
     
  3. This information may be released by the alarm administrator to another law enforcement agency, the applicable alarm user and/ or his installation or monitoring company.
